Class Instructors

Edward Ho Instructor Edward Ho is the President of Canadian Chinese Health Qigong Organization, promoting Health Qigong at various community centres in the Greater Toronto City and has been awarded the Volunteers Are Gold! Certificates of Merit in 2017, 2016, 2011 and 2010 by the City of Toronto.

 

Mr. Ho passed the "Sixth Duan" Examination of Health Qigong in 2016 and was granted "Honorary VI Duan" by the International Health Qigong Federation in 2018 for his contribution to the promotion of health qigong. He also holds the qualification of an International Health Qigong Instructor in 2011 and an International Health Qigong Judge. Mr. Edward Ho also competed and coached teams for Health Qigong Tournaments and Exchange.

 

In 2017, he coached a team of 12 athletes to The Hague, Netherlands and won 1 gold medal, 5 silver medals, 9 bronze medals plus a silver Trophy for Group Yi Jin Jing Competition. He was selected as one of the judges at the 7th World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange. In August the same year, in responsed to IHQF, he held the “1st World Health Qigong Day” in Toronto and won the 2nd place in this activity. In December of the same year, he also held the 2nd Toronto Duan Examination.

 

In 2016, Jiuhua Mountain, China, his team won Ba Duan Jin, Liu Zi Jue silver medals and Yi Jin Jing bronze medals, he was selected as one of the judges for the 2nd China International Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange. In 2015 Matosinhos, Portugal his team won silver medal in Liu Zi Jue and bronze in Yi Jin Jing. Mr. Ho was selected as one of the judges for the 6th World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange.

 

In May 2014, Mr. Ho held the 1st Toronto Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange. In August the same year-Jiuhua Mountain, China, he was also selected as one of the judges for the 1st China International Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange. In 2013, Canadian Chinese Health Qigong Organization was Granted Membership Certificate of International Health Qigong Federation. To date he has won the following awards: 2nd place in Liu Zi Jue group and silver medals in Wu Qin Xi and Liu Zi Jue at 5th International Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange (New York, USA 2013); 2nd place in Liu Zi Jue group, Ba Duan Jin and Liu Zi Jue individual at the International Health Qigong Tournament (Vancouver, 2011). 2nd place Ba Duan Jin and Liu Zi Jue individual (Shanghai, 2009); 3rd place in Yi Jin Jing group and 5th place Ba Duan Jin individual at the 4th international Tre X-Games (Busan, 2008).

 

Since 2014, Canadian Chinese Health Qigong Organization collaborated with Carefirst Wellness Exercise Program launched the Senior Health Qigong program to provide free Health Qigong Exercise for senior Canadians over 65 years of age. We hope that all the seniors of Toronto will live a healthy, quality lives and work together for “Active Living, Pep in Moving”.

 



Angela Ho Instructor Angela Ho, Vice-Chairlady of the Canadian Chinese Health Qigong Organization, has been practicing Health Qigong for 10 years. She has been helping Ho Sifu promoting Health Qigong at various community centers in the Greater Toronto City and has been awarded the Volunteers Are Gold! Certificates of Merit in 2017, 2011 and 2010 by the City of Toronto.

 

She passed the "Sixth Duan" Examination of Health Qigong in 2016 for her technical skill level. She holds the official qualifications as a referee at international health qigong competitions. In 2011, she successfully completed the 1st International Health Qigong Instructors Training Course held in Beijing, China and became one of the first internationally certified Health Qigong instructors in Canada.

 

Besides her work in promoting health and fitness in the Greater Toronto Area, Angela Ho is also an active member of the International Health Qigong Community. In 2008, she participated as a volunteer at the 4th Busan TAFISA World Sport For All Games held in Busan, Korea. In 2009, she competed in the 3rd International Tournament and Exchange held in Shanghai, and placed 4th in Liu Zi Jue women’s individual category. In 2011, she competed at the 4th International Tournament and Exchange held in Vancouver, Canada and placed 2nd in Liu Zi Jue Group category. In 2012, she was the Champion in women's individual Liu Zi Jue and Yi Jin Jing at the 1st Annual Canada International Health Qigong Championship.

 

In 2013, she won 2nd place in Liu Zi Jue group category, silver in Liu Zi Jue and bronze in Yi Jin Jing individual category at 5th International Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange in New York, USA. In 2015, she won silver in Liu Zi Jue and a bronze medal in Yi Yin Ying individual category at the 6th World Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange in Matosinhos, Portugal. In 2016, she also won the silver medal in Liu Zi Jue and a bronze medal in Yi Jin Jing individual category at the 2nd China International Health Qigong Tournament & Exchange in Anhui, Mount Jiuhua, China.
