An energetic lion dance unveiled the Grand Opening of Mon Sheong Community & Volunteer Services Centre (Downtown), which was attended by Olivia Chow, MP; Hon. Michael Chan, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport; and Rosario Marchese, MPP. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, guests were ushered to tour around the Centre. CChealthqigong instructors Edward and Angela Ho attended the celebration and demonstrated various Health Qigong styles with their students.
The Centre is conveniently located at Chinatown Centre, which is easily accessible to seniors, Mon Sheong volunteers and Youth Group members. The Centre provides a comfortable environment where seniors in the community can socialize and make friends. In addition to activities organized for Mon Sheong volunteers and Youth Group members, the Centre also hosts a variety of program, seminars, and interest classes for seniors in the community. These include Tai Chi, English, computer basic skills, Health Qigong etc.
